In the history of tower packing, rasching ring is the earliest annular packing with fixed geometry shape. It has the following characters: same outer diameter and height, simple structure and low price. But it has problems of asymmetry distribution of liquid and serious phenomena of wall flow and canal flow. Now we usually use corruption-resistant ceramic rasching ring in acid making industry.
